Learning to read did not come easily to me. While my friends in elementary school were diving into chapter books, I vividly remember struggling with “I Can Read!” books, feeling embarrassed by my reading skills. I often viewed myself as a "bad reader," and instead of finding joy in books, I felt disappointment and frustration. However, I was incredibly fortunate to have supportive teachers, loving parents, and a determined literacy tutor. With practice and perseverance, my reading skills improved, my confidence grew, and I discovered the joy of reading. Without the consistent support of my loved ones and teachers, I wouldn't have the positive relationship with reading that I have today. My mission is to support students just as I was supported, ensuring they know they are not alone in their learning journey, even when it is challenging. I believe that personalized attention and support can make a significant difference in their learning experience. These interactions allow me to connect with each student, understand their unique challenges, and celebrate their successes. My goal is to foster a nurturing environment where every student feels valued and empowered on their educational journey.
